Severe Weather Warning - 18 Flood Warnings in Place

There are currently 18 flood watches in place in England and Wales. The Thames region has 5 warnings in force, 1 in the Anglian area and 12 in the South.

The following is a list of the rivers at risk of flooding and neighbouring areas.

Anglia Region Flood Warnings:

  • River Waveney from Diss to Ellingham, including Bungay

Thames Region Flood Warnings:

  • River Roding, Cripsey Brook and their tributaries from Molehill Green to Barking
  • River Mole and its tributaries from Kinnersley Manor to South Hersham, including Sidlow, Leigh, Betchworth, Brockham, Pixham, Dorking, Mickleham, Leatherhead, Fetcham, Stoke D'Abernon and Cobham
  • River Thame from Marsworth to Shillingford including, Long Marston, Rowsham, Cuddington, Thame, Shabbington, Ickford, Waterperry, Wheatley, Drayton St Leonard and Dorchester, and also the Chalgrove Brook at Chalgrove and Stadhampton.
  • Lower River Loddon including Swallowfield, Arborfield, Shinfield, Barkham, Lower Earley, Sindlesham, Winnersh, Woodley, Hurst and Waltham-St-Lawrence
  • Lower River Loddon at the River Thames confluence including Twyford, Charvil and Wargrave

Southern Region Flood Warnings:

  • The Lower River Stour Area
  • The River Rother Area
  • The Rivers Tillingham and Brede Area
  • The Upper River Stour Area
  • The Lower River Medway Area
  • The Western Rother from Liss to Hardham including Petersfield
  • The River Beult Area
  • The Upper Ouse and tributaries from Slaugham to Barcombe Mills
  • The River Uck and the Framfield, Ridgewood and Tickerage Streams
  • The Cuckmere River and tributaries from Vines Cross to Exceat Bridge

Currently the Environment Agency is predicting flooding of low lying land and roads. People are being urged to allow more time for travelling to to take care in general on the roads.

It is worth checking local weather reports and keeping your eye on what is happening locally.
