Fire disaster ends in Christmas cheer
Ms Warren was subjected to a terrifying assault by her drunken boyfriend which culminated in him turning on the gas cooker and setting fire to the sofa. The catastrophic explosion and fire that ensued demolished the mid terrace home along with all its contents. Unbelievably no one was injured.
AKA Assisted Claims were contacted the next day by a relative. Warranty issue were dealt with including the occupancy of the Boyfriend and liability was engaged by insurers. Alternative accommodation was arranged for Ms Warren and her two young children with the promise made that the house be totally rebuilt and the family move back in time for Christmas. 20 weeks and counting.
A complete claims management service was implemented. A project manager was installed and team of specialists deployed. Surveyors engineers and contractors worked with the Loss Adjuster appointed by the Insurance Company to endeavour to keep the promise made.
An inventory of contents was made and a substantial interim payment was negotiated. All stops were pulled and remarkably the family was able to move in with three weeks to spare. After only 17 weeks they were back in comfort of their own home, which had been totally rebuilt, complete with new furniture, appliances, a whole new wardrobe of clothes and toys for the kids.
Everything was as it was before with the exception of the Cooker which at the express wish of Ms Warren was all electric!
