Loss Assessors Advice
What NOT to do when making an insurance claim
When making an insurance claim there are some things that you shohuld never do. They might sound obvious, but you would be surprised at just how many people get it wrong.
You should:
- NEVER exagerate any aspect of your insurance claim. You can easily make it invalid by stretching the truth and believe it or not, insurance companies are wise to this so can smell a rat a mile off.
- NOT accept the insurance company’s loss adjuster’s quote for the damages, without getting an independent party to investigate your claim.
- SAY NO to an ‘examination under oath’ or sign an insurance company release unless you have obtained legal advice or you are quite sure that the amount is correct and you are going to receive payment in full.
Insurance companies can be pretty tricky to deal with at times, so if you are finding the pressure of dealing with them too much then speak to an expert. Our loss assessors are trained to manage every aspect of your claim and take the stress out of getting your life back to normal.
